The video has dropped for Shakira and Rihanna’s duet, “Can’t Remember to Forget You.” The video is relatively simple. In it, Rihanna and Shakira, both scantily clad, hang out in a mansion and lounge by the pool at night. Oh, and there’s a lot of groping going on.
Even though the lyrics indicate they’re singing about a boy, it would have been nice to see them fully embrace the video’s concept and depict the singers at the end of a lesbian affair. Yes, these women are heterosexual in real life, but why does that have to limit their sexuality in music videos? After all, Gerard Piqué, Shakira’s baby daddy was absent from the video, so portraying reality clearly isn’t the goal. 
Still, if you’re a fan of Shakira or Rihanna, the video is not to be missed. You’ll have to use your imagination to fill in what it doesn’t show 😉 Check out the video below:
PS – I love Shakira, but has anyone else noticed her accent has somehow gotten thicker over the last 12 years?
