Jeremy Brandrick was a fan and cast favorite on Season 12 of Project Runway with his quick wit, kind nature, sass, talent, and classic style. When the career designer was eliminated in episode nine, the outcry from fans was enormous. Post-PR, Brandwick is working on a new menswear line and living in Chelsea with his partner and two small children. GTSA caught up with Brandrick at his home in Chelsea to talk fashion, reality TV, and life after Project Runway.
In Goldenrod and Tomorrow Always Comes, Avery Paul targets a new corner of the market with protagonist Finn Greystroke, a gay James Bond if you will. I’ve always been a fan of the Bond franchise and of the iconic Ian Fleming novels from which they stemmed. I’m anxiously awaiting the next installment with the sexy Daniel Craig. That alone is what eventually made me crack and sit down to read these after my last review, but I was actually pleasantly surprised after finishing reading both of them.

The video has dropped for Shakira and Rihanna’s duet, “Can’t Remember to Forget You.” The video is relatively simple. In it, Rihanna and Shakira, both scantily clad, hang out in a mansion and lounge by the pool at night. Oh, and there’s a lot of groping going on.

As a gay viewer watching a gay television show, there’s a strange feeling that you should like the material even if it’s “just okay”. When you consider the importance of shows like Queer as Folk and The L Word, it has little to do with the quality of the programs and more with the content. You accept that these shows are great because you feel the need to appreciate their existence in a sea of heterosexual stories. This seems to also be the case for HBO’s Looking.
This sexy Orthodox Calendar features naughty pictures of gay men with religious imagery and was released by a group of Eastern Orthodox Christians in protest of Russia’s anti-gay laws. An anonymous group of six people from countries that were once part of the Soviet Union are responsible for the calendar made up of illustrations by Hungarian artist Tienne.
If you happened to catch the 71st Golden Globe Awards you witnessed quite the spectacle. I’m not talking about Jacqueline Bisset’s incoherent rambling or the stunning Jennifer Lawrence winning another award on her way to cementing her status as Queen of the World. While there are usually a couple titles that sweep the awards show, this year it wasn’t the case. The only noticeable trend on last night’s awards show was the tendency to hand awards out to straight actors who were nominated for playing gay characters.
Now that he’s officially denied any homo-status, Aaron Rodgers needs to start scouting for a beard. With the first round of the play-offs right around the corner, GTSA has done the legwork for him. Nothing is hotter than a hunky heterosexual man comfortable enough with his own masculinity to portray gay characters for all to see. Since women can’t have all the fun, we’ve ranked the top 10 actors we wish would switch teams, like some of the characters they’ve portrayed.
Happy holidays, readers, or, as I call it, happy week-off-to-prep-for-Oscar-season. The pool of films released in 2013 included several LGBT themes, characters, and stories, from Adèle Exarchopolous and Lea Seydoux’s heartrending and scandalous Blue Is The Warmest Colour to David Sedaris’s semi-autobiographical C.O.G.

By now, almost everyone in the world is familiar with The Hunger Games, the trilogy that tells of a love triangle in a dystopian future. Between the hugely successful films and the myriad amount of merchandise depicting the well-known characters, The Hunger Games is in everyone’s faces. There’s only one problem – what the public is being fed is a straight-washed version of the original novels.
When I first heard that Nicole Fox, winner of America’s Next Top Model:
Special Olympics Petite Cycle, was starring in a movie as a lesbian, I was psyched at the marriage of two of my favorite things. TyTyBaby Productions and gay media, I’m a whore for you both. I would have watched this movie for either one of these things, so I had high hopes for some sort of “sum greater than the parts” magic. I’m sad to report that this was not the case.
You may know Maria Bello as the brazen Lil from Coyote Ugly, the ill-fated ex-wife of Johnny Depp in Secret Window, or the unfortunate spouse of Kevin James in the Grown Ups films. However you know her, there’s something else she’d like you to know – she’s also in a lesbian relationship.
The Japanese aren’t the only ones who like orgasms. That’s all I can think when I watch a recent video that’s been circulating the Internet. The clip is of a gay man attempting to make a straight porn star blow a load before the clock runs out on a Japanese game show called Orgasm Wars.
No, I’m not referring to some promising up and coming politician. Sorry to disappoint, but Hillary is probably the closest you’ll get to a lesbian in the next presidential race. And no, I’m not talking about those scandalous gay rumors surrounding Abe Lincoln. Let’s go one stop further back in time on the presidential subway train.
I have a big lesbian crush on you, Dusty Springfield. And not just because you’re a pretty lady with a sexy voice. I have a big lesbian crush on you, Dusty Springfield, because when you were still alive, you might have returned that crush. It’s time to take a trip back into the annals of queer history and revisit the works of a presumed-straight lady-lovin’ lady.
